Homeschooling is legal in all fifty states, but homeschool laws and requirements vary by state. The first thing you should do when you are considering homeschooling your child, is make sure that you fully understand the laws you need to abide by. Some states require you to register as a private school or umbrella school, and others have legal forms of homeschooling. Just remember, homeschooling has been legal throughout the United States for about 30 years, but regulations vary dramatically by state.
